King Arthur - The book of the film

It was a mystery how anyone could make this film (which I like, incidentally) a book of over 300 pages. But then I realized that every battle is paged spread, and is not fought since rarely fills the pages it is possible.
For anyone who knows the movie is not, he deals with Samart theory - Arthur is a Roman-British commander on Hadrian's Wall, and the Round Table consists of samar tables riders who are forced to make to 15 years of military service for the Romans - and has been claimed in the movie trailer, it constitutes "the truth behind the legend.". So more documentary than drama, and in the tenor is also the preface to the book. This has all just happened and not otherwise. Sure. If say sies ...
Well, Arthur has left of his hundred knights Samaritan tables now seven, and the Romans left Britain. But come the Saxons, and before which still has an important Roman family will be saved. Then decides Arthur, Britain to save them from the Saxons and at Badon Hill, a fort on the Wall, it comes to battle. In the film, Arthur will then decide something like the King and his remaining knights to remain with him and support him in the book is all vague and somewhat unclear.
In general, the book vague and unclear. Characters such as Tristan Dragonet and acting in the film quite clearly and vividly drawn, were at best pale, and especially in Tristan has what shines through, to do with the film very little. Gawain and Galahad are not brothers, even if the movie was directed by this incident so incredibly proud of, and that Arthur and Lancelot are such good friends, I know only in that the author repeatedly says. At 300 pages should be enough space for a bit of character development, just as if little action - but maybe it is just the problem: there is little action, and if, it consists of fighting. And because they are all great fighters, of course, since the main difference, who is struggling with what weapon. Lancelot with the double sword, Arthur with Excalibur, and boron is a great archer ... is not quite enough for characterization.
you have it then actually managed to fill an action film so that characters are still made from the figures. Who is there now to thank for whatever ... the actors likely. ;)
Gawain is a nice supporting character in the film, a marginal figure in the book is irrelevant. Kai is in the book and is not in the movie a number of Bors' sons, if I remember correctly.

The negative points first:

The most important stations are there and are processed sufficiently and with attention to detail. And above all - the film just looks fantastic. Started with the dawn itself, a picture-perfect, right Narnian ship, to the smallest detail wonderfully equipped and designed just great, to each of the islands, the castle of the magician and Aslan's table. The sea serpent was certainly quite good, but as I said, 3D, since there you can see more of less. ;)
This is something I'm really excited that they have made this effort, and this amount of dollars as reingesteckt have to bring the world to life. To make them alive and make it look real. And because it's total much more colorful, strange and fabulous, it is visually even more magnificent than the last Potter.
So, as an adaptation a disaster, but fantastic as a separate film for children and the young dreamer.
And Reepcheep is still one of the absolute highlights. Alone for stage I assessment was high.

text promises a collection of "some of the greatest, rarest and most unusual werewolf stroies ever", and while I on the subject of folklore and not only from reading Horror Stories more diverse know something, I say, quite simply, that it keeps this promise completely. The texts range from a Vartiation the classic "man skin Wolf from paw to find his wife with no hand in the bed" story about interesting, scary, funny, sarcastic and a fairy tale, to a surreal that I'm not sure if I understood it.
I find it amazing, how many female werewolves show up, and so many werewolves are white. I find it remarkable how much atmosphere and images can be generated with a history in which no facts are given. Well, the Sherlock Holmes story is not as good as that of Conan Doyle, but she is also not a masterpiece, and perhaps I notice that only because I have read all the first grade last fall. I like the diversity, the book shows, and the preface of the editor all the stories set in a good historical and sometimes social context which gives them an extra dimension.
If you are looking splatter-horror will not get their money. If you are looking ROMANTASY, not schonmal. Anyone who is interested in the subject of folklore, or just looking for varied reading material about werewolves, which is right here. Because what is actually a werewolf, that's not all the same stories.

Tom is 23, Californians studied something and is now in England because he wants to write an Arthurian guide. Laura is also an American dream, constantly by some historical scenes set in Enland, and is in England to go to get to the bottom. The year is 1940, England is about a terrible war.
in early Glastonbury Tom is hit on by two men stupid, later Laura and he pursued at any other stage of their search for anybody. meets some reason Tom CSLweis will find it of just such some reason so likeable, that he invite him to attend a meeting of the Inklings, which it also does not set out in more detail Reasons are incredibly nice. Laura attended to and the stations of their dreams and dreams then nothing, and actually no one is looking for King Arthur, as the title suggests, but all looking for the Lance of Longinus, because who is invincible, and that is on the eve of a war's not very practical.

Apparently he knows by heart the entire correspondence of the Inklings, because there is actually an attachment, in which he points out, that quote has conversation in which he brought for any letter. It is also the author of Christian and a good part of the Book is thus devoted Christian theory. That would make me nothing, after all, Lewis was so devout Christian, but that Tom at the end must also be, of course, where he already gets the girl, I find a bit of overkill. Actually, Tom is an arrogant, insensitive fool who treated Laura like a silly girl. What she sees in him, I do not understand for the life. But well, that's not until the end of the book, and until then he is purified ...
The coronation of the whole, I found that Tom with the tag "Holy Lance" was not immediately do something. As a researcher Arthur! Kindly him a few details have still occurred, but how can you Tennyson (which I now do not read again;)) quote from the head and not know what the Holy Lance?
On the sense and nonsense of the plot I will not miss me now on, we come to the plus points of the book: Lewis, Tolkien, Williams and Dyson are human, friendly and sympathetic shown. Of course, with huge respect because they were human, kind, brilliant, and this incredibly modest. Whether that is true (no idea if Tolkien did not actually 1940, as he is called by her first name), was now to be seen again, but it is sympathetic in any case.
The places described in the book are detailed and lovingly described, and make you want to visit them yourself. Some of them I've seen it, but Malmesbury could be on the list for the next time the Cumbrian Mountains already on it. ;)
Tom loves Cadbury Hill.
Whoever wants to read a nice book about Americanized British Christian writers, found in the still secret untalented runner and Nazi spies, who will have much fun. As I said, the local color is great. Otherwise would be perhaps rather one of many books, written by the same author Lewis recommended.

Japanese English Translator
Merry Christmas Monster
I had a really fun night. Chris and I were only in the Heldenbar the heroes rock and are so moved to 3 clock for the KKC Rock University Party (which I promised the audience the way more than the Heldenbar).
In Heldenbar two songs were played, I did not know, but really really good place. One of them I've been through a lot of requests finally found (I could remember about the chorus, but had instead "I really fucked it up this time" "I really screwed it up this time" in the head).
It is so great. \u0026lt;3
My Sunday was also very relaxed way. Lisa came along and together we have seen DVD and gifts exchanged. She gave me a wonderful, Zoro and Sanji absolutely great painted image. \u0026lt;3 And pumpkin pie baked. And I am a One Piece Wandscrool welcome (but that's been of Sophie). :)
All in all, a nice weekend. I am satisfied.

Presentator five different disciplines to report on collections, cataloging, exhibitions, expeditions, identification problems, the fighting of diseases and the discovery of new species. The curators of different disciplines to speak, to tell you what they love about their work and the museum and why the National History Museum is so important for humanity. Why is it inspiring and what it can do for the future. A really good mix of technical knowledge and depth of human passion.
All presenters are sympathetic - especially zoologist Jimmy Doherty ("When I did a volunteer here ten years ago ..."),'s Marc Carwardine ("This is rare so!") And Kate Bellingham ("This is amazing!") - And have a lot of curiosity and enthusiasm for their subjects, without uninformed, unprofessional, or even to act stupid. Almost all the curators of the museum are very sympathetic to try, especially if they admit to indentifizieren to spending their free unlabeled plant roof panels of the main hall, or that the blue whale model, the museum has inspired her to become a zoologist. In short, all parties are human and professionals. That alone is an accomplishment.

It will tell stories and reports show about people who have their collections or their great individual finds the Museum have donated, and what actions the Museum else yet supported and carried out by the Bio-Blitz on the coast of Devon, to expeditions in tropical jungle.
It is made interesting, never boring, and even if some more than three times said, then that happens either in the context of a conversation during a partial sum or spread over the six episodes, so that it comes mainly from the current call or for connecting the episodes among one another.
