The Estonian authorities have canceled a fee of EUR 80 for making long-term visas for citizens of Belarus, said Thursday the government press service of the country.
According to the Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet, this step is an expression of support to Belarusian civil society. Earlier, a similar solution was dominated by Poland and Latvia.
Long visa is issued for a period of stay in Estonia for up to six months and valid for 12 months. According to the MFA in 2010 from the citizens of Belarus received 15 applications for registration long-term visas.
Payment ordinary (short-term) visas are issued for a total period of stay not exceeding 90 days within six months remains the same (60 euros for a visa), as the issue of visas is the responsibility of the common visa policy of the European Union, transmits RIA «Novosti» .
